Urgent help
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999 or ask a trusted adult to help you now. Atlas Study is not an emergency service and cannot promise real-time monitoring.
If you need to talk to someone, you can contact Childline on 0800 1111 or speak to a parent, carer, teacher, school safeguarding lead, or another trusted adult.
Who leads safety at Atlas Study
Sahil Ahmad is the Atlas Study Designated Safeguarding Lead and privacy lead. Atlas Study is a service of EDS Education Ltd, company number 11334874. For safety, safeguarding, privacy, or account concerns, contact support@edseducation.com.
How Atlas Study responds to concerns
- We may review, restrict, suspend, or escalate activity where safety concerns arise.
- We keep safeguarding information on a need-to-know basis and do not show it in ordinary parent or student views.
- Where a school is responsible for a learner, Atlas Study may need to work with the school safeguarding route.
- Atlas Study safety routes support learning, but urgent risk should go to emergency services or trusted adults first.
AI limits
Atlas Study AI can explain topics and support learning, but AI is not a counsellor, therapist, emergency service, teacher replacement, or guaranteed marker. AI can make mistakes. If a question is about safety, health, wellbeing, or harm, speak to a trusted adult or emergency service instead of relying on AI.
Tutor and Live session rules
- All Review/Live tutors must complete DBS and suitability checks before working with students.
- No off-platform contact is allowed between tutors and students.
- Tutors, students, and parents must not move lessons to private social media, personal phone numbers, or private email.
- Tutors must report safeguarding concerns and may be suspended or removed if conduct rules are broken.
Recordings
Live sessions may be recorded only with clear notice or consent. Recordings are for safety, quality, dispute review, and audit. The default retention target is 28 days, unless a safeguarding, dispute, legal, billing, or regulatory hold means we need to keep a recording longer.
Privacy boundaries
Parents and guardians can see learning support information where Atlas Study allows it and privacy settings permit it. AI chat transcripts, wellbeing information, and safeguarding information are not shown through ordinary parent visibility controls.
